Rocky Mountain Geologists

Marron and Mike Bingle-Davis spent his time in graduate school working at the University of North Dakota Core Library under Julie LeFever archiving and digitizing North Dakotas massive microscopy collection of the Williston Basin. They met during thier Masters degree coursework.

Mike graduated in 2006 with his Masters in geology and Marron would continue her education in persuit of her Doctorate.

Mike started work at the North Dakota Department of Transportation with a small team responsible for the location, construction, and management of the state Department of Transportation wetland banking program. This necessitated geology, engineering, biology, and interagency cooperation to ensure that the NDDOT was in compliance with the state and federal regulatory requirements under NEPA and other programs.

During this time Marron would continue working with Julie LeFever on the Bakken Formation of the Williston Basin as she completed her coursework.

They were married on July 20, 2008 and over the next three years Marron would continue to conduct her research and writing her dissertation.

Once Marron Bingle-Davis graduated the University of North Dakota with her Doctorate in Geology they moved to Casper, Wyoming in 2011.

Mike started a short stint in the Uranium Geology field with Cameco Resources. Mike was responsible for several exploration programs in Nebraska and Wyoming. He would ultimately provide recommendations regarding all of the exploration targets in the region and ultimately leave the uranium industry due to market conditions.

Marron, as luck would have it, was in the right place at the right time and was taken in by Wayne Neumiller and his company, Sunshine Valley Petroleum.

Essentially transferring from the Uranium sector to Oil and Gas, Mike started at Kirkwood Oil and Gas in 2014. He would continue at Kirkwood until the present under Steve Kirkwood.

At Kirkwood Oil and Gas Mike is responsible for new drilling, infill drilling, prospect generation, evaluation and all things geology for properties in North Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Utah, and Nevada.

Marron continues to work with Wayne and displays a wide range of abilities in oil and gas operations and production.
